Entry level Miele is affordable and works as well as higher end models
This is the sixth Miele vacuum I bought for myself and others over a 30-year period. It is my preferred vacuum brand. The Classic C1 is considered an entry level Miele and is priced accordingly. That makes it much more affordable than some of the higher-end models. Despite being a cheaper model, it has features I most prize in a Meile. The suction is powerful, the dirt-catching bag eliminates dust blow back, the versatile attachments make cleaning nooks and crannies easy. This particular model is extremely lightweight and easy to transport. The powerhead works fine on carpets, but is not as good at deep cleaning those on some of the higher-end models. Since I have very little carpeting, this model is fine for me. The one con is the short electric cord. To completely vacuum any room in my house, I am required to turn off the vacuum, unplug it, move it to a different outlet, turn it on again and continue. In larger rooms, such as the living room, I have to move the plug two or three times. Using a heavy duty extension cord with it would solve the issue.Read full review

Happy with the purchase
Light weight, easy to maneuver, quiet & has good suction.
Could use a longer cord and getting used to the turbo carpet attachment took some time to get the proper setting.

Best helper ever!
I always owned the Miele vacuum cleaner in my apartment in Europe and I love it and was always looking forward to do vacuuming! I was hesitant to buy this one for my house in USA because having 3 floors two stairways and different floors and area rugs. So I thought that vacuum would not be enough strong. Well I was wrong. This one is strong but lightweight very easy to maneuver. And on top of it it looks good! And put together is a piece of cake, thanks to Germany's renowned precision! I should do it a long time ago.Read full review

Only good for wood floors
Don’t purchase if you want for carpets this is only good for wood floors I like the vacuum but didn’t realize that it didn’t have the power for my carpets. Will be great to use for car .

Best vacuum since 2 decades ago
Easy to operate. Reminds me of the old Electrolux we had back in the '80's brand new in honor of the Olympics. Much quieter, and just a breeze to use.
Easy to use and good for small apartment
easy to use, relatively quiet, adequate power, also very easy to move and navigate. very happy with this vacuum and looks to be durable

Amazing
Wow. It's one of those things.... why didn't I get this earlier?! I had a really nice Electrolux for about 15 years then switched to a Dyson. Big mistake...after 6 months of frustration, I was ready to invest. Worth every penny.Read full review

It's a Meile. It's terrific!
While some parts of this machine have been simplified and cheapened compared to my 17 yr old model, function is superior. The suction-powered turbo brush works well on carpets. Dust brust is smaller than the older model and has stiffer bristles but OK for most uses. I bought this for my parents because it is nice and light. This was a refurb but as far as I can tell it is new and immaculate. The refurb price is great - less than I paid for my new machine in 2017. Having a separate turbo head for carpets and a hard floor brush head is way better tnan the dual-purpose head on my old machine.Read full review

Apparently refurbished, but other than being in a plain cardboard box, nothing appears to have been used. Every works as it should.
