Ive had this type of oven for years I love them cook really good but you must remember to clean it every
time you use it,, cooks fast too cheaper to run than a bigger oven you can cook for one or more people

Uneasy on the eyes and too fiddly. It's a no from me.
The first thing I noticed about this item is how BIG it is.
The second thing I noticed was the brightness of the halogen bulb whilst cooking. I understand it has to be bright as thats what does the cooking but I have an open plan kitchen so it's impossible to escape it. I didn't know I'd need sunglasses to use it. It was literally like looking directly into sunlight.
It also flashes on and off every couple of minutes which apparently is normal but I found it very annoying.
After following the instructions I tried cooking 2 pork loin steaks. Had to go back 3 times to the timer and reset . It took 3 times the recommended cooking time and to be honest too much trouble.
Although there is a lid stand provided, (the lid gets very hot) it's a bit fiddly

Good oven
This oven is very easy to operate , there are two dials on the lid to operate, one is a timer dial that you turn for the minutes needed to cook your product , the other dial is for the temperature needed to cook your product.. both dials are very clearly marked up as for their use and very easy to use.. to start the oven cooking could also not be any easier , all you need to do is fold the lid handle down flat... the oven then starts at your chosen temperature and for the time you have set, the heat is immediate and no need to pre warm the oven .. it is a very versatile machine , and so easy to operate.. there is a small booklet in the box that gives you clear instructions and recipe ideas... it also has a short section on troubleshooting problems ... all in all it is a very good product.. I have been using these type of ovens for years. I find they are very cost saving and food does come out the same and sometimes better than my fan oven. The only food I have found doesn't cook well are pizza the base doesn't crisp up. Read full review

Handy but a bit awkward.
The manual is not very helpful at all, but it is fairly simple to use. It does a good job, and has some advantages over a conventional oven. It takes less space, it is easy to clean, and everything gets cooked quickly. The awkward parts are putting the lid on its stand, which is a bit of a balancing act with a red hot lid, and taking hot food out can be a bit tricky, as it is difficult to reach inside with oven gloves.Read full review

Excellent Oven.
This is a replacement for a Halogen oven we've had for many years. Still working, but it has digital controls and the buttons are getting worn. It also has a hinged lid which I won't buy again as it's difficult to clean. This new one has a detached lid which makes it much easier to clean. Little tip, use the extender ring as a lid stand, much more stable. A great piece of kit, extremely efficient and versatile, gets used virtually every day. Can't recommend it enough.Read full review

Superb ovens!!!
To be honest I only purchased one of these halogen ovens for space saving but I now realize that they're much more than that after cooking my first meal today which was shoe string fries and cheese bites coasted in breadcrumbs (awesome taste). I'm over the moon with it because it cooks really fast and thoroughly which is a massive improvement on the conventional electric mini oven. As others have said it's brilliant to be able to see your food cooking so clearly and it smells very good as well. I'm very impressed with it's capacity to cook things that I've previously had problems with such as large pizzas above 9". Cleaning the oven is incredibly easy too because it only took a wipe round with kitchen towel to absorb condensed water that collects in the bottom of the glass bowl and tiny amounts of cooking oil that spits from the food which is incredibly easy to clean off while it's still warm ( not hot ). Owning this amazing device has already started to change the way I think about cooking because of it's capacity, shear versatility and efficiency. Hopefully it will be quite a while before the halogen lamp fails and I can enjoy plenty more superb tasting food with it especially at this price. I highly recommend these awesome cookers as an alternative method of food preparation.?Read full review

Now We're Cooking On Gas... I Mean Halogen
It's often said that a thing of beauty is a joy forever - well, even though this oven may not last forever - it certainly is a thing of beauty. Sit it on a surface in your kitchen, and after a week you'll wonder how you ever did without it.
I watched a lot of videos on halogen ovens before buying this one, and a lot of the food looked pallid or dry. I needn't have worried. Pizza? perfect. Roast chicken? perfect. Rhubarb crumble?
perfect Egg muffins?! unbelievably, perfect too. Foods that are likely to 'dry out' through cooking benefit from a liberal spray of olive oil or 1-cal before cooking, and you're good to go.
As a device, it's whirrs and hums pleasantly whilst cooking but never distracts and cleaning it couldn't be simpler. Once you're ready to clean it simply remove the glass container, pop it in the sink and give it a good wash with some hot soapy water. Replace the container, and turn it on for five minutes to dry it out - done!
Kids will (initially) be fascinated by watching food cooking, and the controls are so simple that even I can use them. If you've been sitting on the fence about buying one of these - make the leap - I guarantee you'll wonder how you managed without one before.Read full review

Over the moon
I have seen these ovens demonstrated on tv many times and now having found I have only myself (a vegan) to cater for, thought I would give it a try. It has proved an enormous success. I have only had it for about two weeks and use it daily, sometimes more than once.
I love roast vegetables but thought twice about preheating a family sized oven to cook them. With the halogen oven its a walk in the park. They cook beautifully in less time making very little washing up.
Would recommend.
Incidentally I have cooked sausages for my grandson and he says they were cooked to perfection.

Minimum electricy and maximum results..
As an OAP I find this cooker has all the benefits of a full size cooker but is quick and easy to use.
