Best Portable Media Player in the Market
I have tested the product so far has been excellent for my use. Perfect for the SUV with Monitors. Your storage capacity is limited to the USB drive. Perfect for road trips and to play videos on any TV device. True 1080p even thou I lowered it to 720p video files to have double capacity. Video playback is excellent. Keeps the kids busy on their shows while you can relax and drive peacefully.. ARE WE THERE YET???? Also great if you don't have any wifi or connection due to a heavy storm.. All stored on USB,.. Nice peace but not covering my application needs
The Micca Speck G2 1080p Full-HD Ultra Portable Digital Media Player is tiny, nice looking and easy to use. However when playing my private videos the performance is not comparable with built in players in TV sets or modern pads. Mainly pan shots exported with max. 8Mbps @ 1080p (Micca Speck G2 spec. max. 10Mbps) stutter too much. I still hope I will get an advice/update from support how to overcome the issue. I bought this based on other reviews, clai mm in that the cheaper ones have issues. So far not one one problem. Recognizes folders within folders,..
...Not even sure if it plays mp3, but plays all my mp4 videos, and I use free video converters to convert rare stranger video formats to Mp4. Great little gadget. Remote must have line of sight to work but not an issue for me.
I store great YouTube videos (even full length) to thumb drive and SD card (plays both) small size great for RVs and size means less clutter in house. Videos look good on my big TV.
Really easy to set up and operate.

Great Little Device
The Micca Speck G2 is a great little media player. It has worked well with anything I have thrown at it.
Can't give it a 5 star review due to the following:
1) I wish it had some selectable music player GUI options. The stock music player GUI is alright but looks very old style and is the only player I've seen in a long time with no optional themes.
2) I wish the power light would turn off with the device.

I almost gave this a "no" on easy to use because the interface is very basic and I was confused on how to view my video files for a moment. But really, it's a minor point. The unit I received does not play 1080P of any format without a jerky picture especially on scenes where there is panning or movement. 720P is much better but I'd prefer to use higher resolution. My playback was through a high quality HDMI setup and my SD card and thumb drive are the fastest available. Playback on other equipment with the cards is perfect at any resolution.Read full review

Limited high definition playback
The high definition video is limited to 10 MB/s bit rate. Unless you know the bit rate of the video it would be better to purchase the Micca MPLAY-HD Mini. With this unit it is necessary to re-encode the vide if the bit rate is too high. Otherwise the sound or video may lag.
It would be nice if there was an option to go directly to the list of videos without going through all the menus needed to find the drive.
A compact unit with some technical assistance fits our needs for now.

i gave this baby five stars. when i first looked at it, i had my doubts. i had a USB flash drive full of Halloween videos and i just knew that this little box was not going to do the trick. I WAS WRONG!. I EASILY hooked up this media player to my projector, set the projector in the media mode and both machine worked immediately. i chose what Halloween video i wanted to start with. it started playing and it looped. i was so happy when it started looping. i did not have to go back to the files and start another video. the videos came up one after the other. Every time a video ended and another one begin, i raised my hands high up in the air. i was happy because this little machine was doing exactly what i want it to do. the picture was clear and the colors were vivid. i give it two thumbs ups. highly recommended.Read full review
