I only use humidifiers during the winter months when the air is much dryer. This unit uses only 20% of the electricity of my other humidifiers which boil the water to create steam. I have only been using this for a month, but it seems to be doing a good job. The mist coming out of the machine is cold so I had to move it away from the bed side where I used to situate the boiling type humidifiers. I now have it under the warm air flow from the A/C. I also haven't seen any mold build up on the ceiling that was a constant with the steam humidifiers.Read full review

Bought this after much research and quite pleased with this. The only complaint was that the light for the "on" button is quite bright in our room with black-out curtains. It was so bright that it actually casts shadows in our small room. I remedied this by taping over it to dim the light. Humidification is OK, but it does not operate continuously for as long as claimed, even on the lowest flow, you can’t unplug the electric cable so you’re forever having to unplug it to empty the water in the base and clean it, cleaning is difficult because of the power chord, and you have to change the filter more regularly than other devices.
