Measy A2W Digital Media Streamer

Inexpensive, temperamental, but does basics well

I've seen a few complaining reviews and wanted to balance them as generally, this item works as described.
I have found connecting a little bit temperamental but it does work on
a) Android Smartphone (specifically Galaxy S4 Android 5.0.1) EZ Cast
b) iPad 2 (IOS 9.3) AIrPlay
c) PC (Win 7 / 10) EZ Cast

Setting up is pretty straightforward, although I had to ensure that the device was firmly engaged in the HDMI socket (on both large screen TVs I tried this had to be pushed in twice to "engage")

Performance with Video has been fine - I've played video on both the Phone and iPad and had decent playback.

I was disappointed to see that 1080p output was limited to 30Hz refresh rate - that fact was omitted.

For £15 - I am very satisfied with its price performance. (More expensive items doing similar are available.)Read full review

Awful item

Bought it mainly for screen replication, the signal broke up even at low resolution. Have to use its own custom software which attempts to replicate that of better known brands but without the channels or ease of use. After trying everything, I discarded it and bought a replacement. Better to pay a little more to get something that works.Read full review

Good small unit

Unit is powerfull and easy to use. I use it on travel in connection with my laptop. Very good unit.

Could do with better instructions.

Although this product does what it is supposed to do I found it difficult to set up and understand how it operates. Also another problem is that when I turn my TV on it defaults to HDMI 2 where the EZCast is attached so I have to switch back to HDMI 1 to watch TV every time.Read full review

Poor instructions and slow set up

Eventually contacted the maker who did offer extra information. Now replaced as I have a new laptop with and HDMI connection to the TV.
