Tough glue
I had been using two part urethane adhesive designed for repairing conveyor belts, but the adhesion was not very good. This product STICKS! Just a couple words of caution: grease the threads of the tube before you put the cap back on or you, like me, will have to use two pairs of pliers to get the lid off the next time you use it, and don't get the glue on your hands! Squirt out what you need then use a nail to work it down into where you need to repair. It is nearly impossible to peel it off of areas that aren't supposed to have any. Read full review

Twice as good, but four times as messy
The world needs a gel-like compound that can be applied to wear spots on shoes and will last there approximately as long as plastic taps. Shoe Goo does not hold up much more than two or three miles walking on sidewalks. Freesole lasts much longer, but it is so complicated and messy to apply that the result is not worth the effort. Partially used tubes must be kept frozen, which reduces the product's practical utility. I wish this were not so. If it lasted much longer and were simple and easy to store and apply, I would give it five stars. Read full review
It works as advertised.
I rebuilt the toes plates of my boots that I use for backpacking. They were scraped through the leather and now are stronger than new. I also patched some places where the stitching came undone allowing water to seep through even though it's gore tex. It doesn't look pretty, but it extended the life of my boots. They are comfortable and I don't get blisters from them, so why replace when I can repair for a few dollars to greatly extend the life of the shoes. Happy trails!Read full review

I agree- better than Shoe Goo
I applied this to the heels of my running shoes- the outer layer of the sole had worn completely away, exposing the soft cushion layer. Built up to about 3/8" thickness at the very back of the heel. So far (a week) Freesole shows minimal wear. I'm guessing that it will extend the life of my running shoes for at least a couple of months.Read full review

Superb Glue for Footwear
You can do as good a job repairing footwear with this glue as a cobbler would do. The glue is easy to work with, reasonably durable when dry and sticks well to rubber soles. It is the best glue I have found for re-attaching separated soles. I used the glue to repair faulty wading shoes, which spend hours underwater in a stream and are exposed to rough rocks. If the glue is placed in the freezer, one can take it out months later and use it after it thaws--no worries about the glue drying up into a hardened blob. However, don't expect the glue to last forever as it will eventually wear or peel off with prolonged use. When it does, just re-apply.Read full review

Great product!
I've used two tubes of this product before. It has "rescued" several pairs of shoes. I'm cheap and hate throwing otherwise decent things away. This has extended the life of many of my favorite shoes.Read full review

fixed crack in my snow boots top
For some reason my Sorels cracked on the top of the shoe part of the boot. It was starting to crumble. Those are not made the way the used to do it. At any rate I bought another product that was much more expensive and it did not last a day. This product was easy to use. So far so good.Read full review

Double or triple the life of your shoes
Great for building up worn heels and soles. I have also repaired some broken welts. Takes overnight to cure, it can run if the soles aren't level. You can use scotch tape to create a dam.
Used to be sold as Freesole.Read full review

GearAid for shoe repair
Product works well. Clean surfaces prior to application. Allow a day for curing. Wear gloves to prevent staining of fingers (if you were to get adhesive on yourself). Difficult to keep opened tube usable for more than a few days (I have not tried to freeze opened tube as some have recommended).Read full review
