Manhattan T3 Smart 4k Freeview HD Digital TV Receiver

Good but not perfect

As a long time Freesat user I was getting fed up with not having access to Channel 4 HD. So I decided to get a Freeview set top box instead. Reading all the different product reviews it seemed like the Manhattan T3-R was the best value-for-money and was ideal for my needs. In use I find the picture to be very vibrant indeed and with it hooked up to my Sony av receiver, the sound quality is great too. I also like the remote control although it took a while to get used to the positioning of the keys. There are some downsides for me

1. It's a bit noisy, not sure if it's the fan or the hard drive.
2. It doesn't have HDMI CEC control so you need to use both the TV and the Manhattan remote controls to power off the system.
3. There is no display on the front of the box except for a red/blue power led.

Hard worked for money wasted

I can not make it work. it is made for people who are able to understand tech issues. I am 81 I could not get any assistance from Lumen I could not return it as it was a gift hence No Paperwork. When my 55yr old daughter visited with her husband 53yr and 23yr old daughter and 17yr old son NON of them could make it work. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Will throw and swallow the loss. Great upgrade

I bought this to upgrade my old free view box. does exactly what i wanted

Good but overpriced

We don't really watch TV, and had ROKU whenever we needed something - until it stopped working. I wanted something that was not reliant on internet but had the option of iPlayer and co. I found it a bit dearer, but having the kids at home 24/7 due to corona pushed me over the edge.

Works well so far though I am having issues with certain HD channels. I wish the remote had prev/next buttons to skip to the next episode/video on iPlayer or youtube. Did I mention the price?Read full review

Pleased with performance

Performs well as a smart TV receiver when connected to internet and a good Freeview viewer (Our TV receiver was inadequate to receive all the stations that should be available). Overall very pleased with this purchase so far. Good set top box

Great for not hogging the WiFi

Bought this to lighten the load on the broadband while my partner is on video calls for work. Does the trick.
