Small but good

We use these to support laser levels - not photography gear. So bear that in mind.

For the use we give them, they do very well. Quick setup, super compact, feel well built for the $$, and the head is a rolling wheel type, (one hand operation)

As a photographer, (have been shooting since the 80’s) these would work well enough for smaller bodies/lenses that are not heavy. Think micro 4:3 Panasonic or Fuji with a 50 attached. Or small p&s type stuff.

not perfect, but decent

product came slightly broken, the furthest extension of one of the legs pushes in even when clamped, so I don’t feel safe putting it all the way up with my camera on it. otherwise it’s a good tripod, and if I only extend it to the 2nd to last length it works perfectly!Read full review

Great stand but the quick release doesn’t fit

I have several of these tripods and I love them, but I ordered this one and the quick release plate doesn’t fit. Luckily I had an extra one I had laying around. Otherwise it’s great.

Great improvement over the older Manfrotto 785b

A great improvement on the older Manfrotto 785b model. The swivel mount locks MUCH more securely. The quick release is also much improved over the wiggly older one. I'll wait to review the leg latches (which easily broke on the 785b) but so far, it's all good. This is not a tripod for smooth panning and tilting, but if you just need something to hold the camera still in one position, this is a great deal. Also very lightweight. Only improvement I can suggest is a liquid level indicator (which the 785b DID have).Read full review

Great compact size for lightest of gear

The grip is of limited use and is too unstable for panning horizontally.

I put about a 1/2" rubber eraser spacer to give back that feature.

Good for what it is.

I bought two of these tripods to support spotting scopes for shooting competition. They work acceptably well for this purpose. The pan/tilt head is excellent; the one wheel adjustment works VERY well. The 'button' that attached to your equipment is good; the attachment mechanism requires a bit of adjustment until it will work properly. I will use these until (like all lightweight tripods( they break - then I will look for something better.Read full review

Same item as retail store(s), but about 1/2 the price!

I have purchased a number of these exact items from Best Buy for over $70. Actually, about one per year, over the past 3 - 4 years. Obviously, I am very hard on my tri-pods, telescoping them in and out, and moving it from place to place many, many times per day on jobs at work (I am a mold inspector, and use it for my air-pump). I typically get about a year's use from them before they finally break, which is expected with the abuse mine takes. This is absolutely identical and saved me a ton of $$$ Very grateful to purchase this item at this price point!Read full review

Lightweight Durable Stable Platform.

I put this product to hard use in a dynamic environment using devices up to the size of a Sony camcorder, it has never let me down-light weight, stable, and relatively inexpensive in case it is ran over by a tracked vehicle or lost in the scramble to keep up with subjects.

Highly recommended.

Very happy

I saw this at Best Buy and fell in love with it. Found the same one here for much cheaper and I am one happy camper.
