Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 Tripod

An excellent performer

The 055XPROB is one of the most popular of Manfrotto's recent tripod offerings, but the 055CXPRO3 goes a bit further by being made with carbon fibre and magnesium alloy for lightness, rather than aluminium. The rigidity of this tripod is superb and the reduction in weight by comparison with the aluminium version is very noticeable.

In my opinion this particular "Magfibre" tripod is better than the similar looking 055MF3 or 055CX3 models, because the centre column is made from carbon fibre as well as the legs. If you are going for carbon fibre it seems logical to get one that is all carbon fibre, and not just part carbon fibre!Read full review

Best tripod I have had. It’s sturdy and light. All I need to do long exposures with 10 stop filter when doing landscape photography. Can highly recommend the tripod.
