They work a treat!

Bought these a while back and thought I would see how they worked before reviewing.
As a woman on my own, I am never sure if I trust the words of builders as I have come across some cowboys down the years.
I needed more of an air flow through the loft area to reduce condensation patches in the loft and after googling what I needed to do, I decided to have a go on my own.
These have worked really, really well. It was a bit fiddly to fit them, but I am amazed at the difference to the condensation problem this winter.
I am really proud of myself for getting to the bottom of the problem and fixing it myself.
This is such a simple idea and easy peasy to fit.
Couldn't be happier with the results.
They do seem a little expensive for bits of plastic, but due to the fact that they work so well, means it was worth the cost.

Flawed

Good idea but has issues, wether it works depends on a few factors such as the amount of overlap your felt has, a large overlap and the vent is not able to separate the felt at the bottom to allow the air in. I had issues pushing many of the vents in because of nails being in the way, also when correctly in place the gap it creates is an opening for flies and insects and such into your loft space, If your felt is a bit old it'll just break when you try to separate and insertRead full review...

Here's to a dry roofspace!

In recent winters we've experienced annoying condensation problems in our roofspace.

Putting in soffit vents made some difference, but didn't eradicate the issue completely. Whilst browsing an online DIY forum I came across a recommendation for these lap vents from someone who claimed that a condensation issue with his roof space had been completely eradicated after he fitted Manthorpe lap vents. So I bought some, fitted them and I'm hoping to be able to wave Bye Bye to condensation in my loft this coming winter.

Easy and immediately effective solution

Having topped up the loft insulation to 300mm I wanted to insure there was good loft air circulation to prevent condensation in the winter. This product is ideal as it is really easy to fit between the under tile felt wrap-over. I could immediately feel increased air circulating through the loft trap as I exited the loft. A Simple easy to install and cost effective solution to vent your roof space

Took about 10 seconds to install the 1st vent and about 5 mins for all 20 to go in.

Although these don't meet building regulation requirements for full condensation control ,but great for refurb where major condensation is not the cause to use these vent .

Easy to use.........

Having moved into a bungalow just four months ago, I quickly realised we had a condensation problem. Together with roofing vents ( done)and gable end vents (still to do), these little stars just clip in between the felting to allow a little air gap which helps to allow the air to flow freely around the loft space. I fitted ten, which is five each side. I'm probably going to order ten more, I'm that impressed.Read full review...

Prompt delivery and well made. Easy to install, but it might be a good idea to wear gloves to protect your fingers from scraping on the roof felt.

Easy to install. Well designed product. Saves drilling holes in your soffits. Make sure you have the vents both sides of your roof to aid cross ventilation.
