A niche lens. Donot buy without discs.

This is a large lens albeit made for 6x7 format, Rather heavy for 35mm users. I use it with Sony A7r2, with an adapter., in aperture priority mode or manual mode only. However the main attraction is soft focus capability. You should have three dics which control the degree of softness. You unscrew front part of the lens and drop the chosen disc. Also the aperture has to be between 5.6 and 4 , otherwise the discs are not effective.( you need to use the peripheral part of the lens). Made for studio use.Read full review
