Excellent Saw

I'm very pleased with the saw.
Little touches are great. Eg: it is exactly 10cm from the edge of the plate to the blade. So much easier to place a guide than my previous saw which was not a round number.
The blade has fewer teeth than I would have liked but it seems to cut really well and the kerf is flat bottomed which makes cutting tenons (with a jig) much easier.
The box is great though the plastic insert is flimsy (mine had cracked in transit). I filled the underside of the insert with expanding foam to create a more robust housing.Read full review

I use Makita power tools nearly every day and bought this saw to replace one that was stolen recently. They are tough well made well priced tools but for me the new type of hard plastic boxes they come in are not as good as the old heavy duty type hence only 4 stars.

This is amazing heavy duty product!!
