Good quality and really effective
I wondered whether battery trimmers would be up to th job. These clippers are excellently made, light and manoeuvrable because no power lead. They are also quiet and vibration free. In fact, they are absolutely fine for keeping a reasonably well maintained hedge in good shape and cut through thick twigs etc. One battery charge cut both sides and the top of my hedge which is approximately 25 long.

Lightweight, charges quickly
The Makita 14.4v Li is both lightweight and charges quite fast. Will last about 15mins heavy continuous use before it needs a recharge. Having an battery extra as a spare is necessary for larger gardens.Read full review

Great spare to have
This battery has turned out to be higher power than my originals and it works perfectly with my drill combo. Having quite a bit of garden landscaping to build for my daughter I thought an extra battery would be a good idea and this one has shown itself to be of better quality than the two originals.
