Small with big features

So small and easy to carry to gym. Sound fantastic, clear and loud (use my gym head phones) variety of music and talk shows to listen. Doesn't cut out like internet radio. Wanted one for ages and impressed with this one. Can leave in my gym bag permanently unlike phone. Battery good. Not used fm just dab.Read full review

Well designed, small, light and easy to use but overall reception in weaker signal areas is not so brilliant even re-scanning stations fails to improve this.
So many media product now have the facility to use earphones or headphones designed for use with a microphone, which requires a different audio plug, these are unusable in this radio and therefore resticts a wide choise of use in headphones and earphones, for in stance you can't use the earphones from your mobile phone so you have to carry both types.Read full review

I like this Majority DAB+ Personal Radio

This product is an ideal size to put in a handbag or a pocket, and the sound quality is very good although I didn't like the earphones which came with it and bought alternatives (which I am far happier with) The battery lasts a long time and is easily recharged via USB cable. The only thing I don't like is that when you switch it off and then back on again, the volume is really low set rather than where you left it, but that's no big problem really. Good price, good radio

The display went faulty and Majority exchanged it quickly with a 'used' radio of the same type. This radio has a faulty battery charge display, but otherwise is very good.

Ok, but annoying drawbacks prevent it being ideal

-DAB & FM reception both very patchy (my previous Majority model was much better) in my area (rural)
-Requires compatible earphones (included) as they act as aerial (i.e my JBL's didn't work)
-Aftershut down, the volume defaults to 4/20 vol setting which is annoyingly low and you'll need to keep changing it after every restart (remembering last setting would be much better)
-Backlight is underpowered and is almost impossible to read in bright daylight (i.e outdoors)

Great little radio

All Majority radios are good, I've got a big 'home system' one and a portable.

This was for my mother to go with her own Majority portable.

Nice sound, good signal reception, clear colour screen with good UI, well placed positive buttons and even the earphones are passible for a £25 radio, although your own may be better.

No good for DAB unless you live next door to the transmitter

The reason i bought this radio was i wanted to listen to dab stations but sadly the reception is awful even using headphones with a very long cable (the headphone cable is the aerial) I have another dab radio which works fine but this does not, FM works fine so if you want dab do not buy this radio.Read full review
