MacuShield One-A-Day Food Supplement - 90 Capsules

I am 60 years old and I bought this product previously after watching a medical programme on TV where Michael Mosley sings the praises of taking the three ingredients that are in MacuShield. He only mentioned the ingredients, to help improve eye health, so I did a bit of research and found MacuShield was the product made up of all three.

I took MacuShield for 3 months and was very interested to find out if there had been any improvement in my eyesight. Luckily my 2 yearly eye appointment was imminent. I did not mention anything to the optician. However he told me that my sight was slightly improved, so I then explained to him that I'd been taking MacuShield capsules. He said he had heard of these and that it was probably a good idea to take them, though he couldn't officially recommend them.

Expensive. Not sure they work.

Comes recommended by most opticians. Not sure if they actually work. Am using Mobu which are miles cheaper and contain 5 times the Lutein which is the most important ingredient for eye care.

Well worth the price

Cheaper and exactly like the American version Macuhealth. Dont know why its cheaper to buy the european version but it is. Same exact ingredients, same packaging, different name. It's obviously hard to ascertain whether this type of product is doing any good, but it was recommended to me by my Optician as I have previously had Wet Macular Degeneration, and apparently studies have shown that products like this can help prevent MD, so I hope it works! Read full review

Vision Saving Bargain

Like many supplements the user takes them in the hope that the benefits are worth the effort. Often times we never know if what we are doing is truly beneficial. Simple eye protection.

As a sufferer of Macular Degeneration in my right eye I have had constant monitoring on the left eye for treatment to prevent the same problem. That had meant regular injections into the eye every four or five months. Since taking Macushield I have gone for seven months without the need for injections and this could extend.
I place my faith in the content of Macushield capsules as the reason for this improvement and recommend that suffers try it for themselves in the hope of similar benefits. Read full review

supplement that really works

I am 64 and I have been taking Macushield for almost 2 years for macular degeneration and I was very happy that it was not progressing. But recently I have noticed even some improvements, the straight line is not so waved as it was and I can make distinction between very similar colors like navy blue and black which was not possible before. I should add that besides Macushield I take Q10 and Omega-3.

Hard to find and very expensive

These vitamins (used by many people with, or at risk of developing, macular degeneration) are now very difficult to find. Apparently the company no longer sells them directly to consumers in North America, nor will they ship them here from the UK. This is the best price I could find via a third party. I find these capsules very well worth taking. The price varies so much every time my good value rating is rather subjective, and I can only assume they are of good quality, by the effect they have, which has been beneficial for me.
