Well built, great value
I have had 2 garden shredders before, but different brand named ones to be honest I was not very impressed with them. One was an expensive "B" brand and it kept jamming up and not cutting the types of leaves I was getting rid of(magnolia/Connifer).
This unit is a bit of a beast and devours anything(within reason) that I fed it. mature branches upto about 1" it took with no problem.
Whats also good about the unit is that the cutter can be adjusted(gap between the blade and anvil?)
For the money I paid I feel the is a very well made, sturdy unit and with very little care needed, will last me for a many years.Read full review

Good value and does the job.
Item arrived very quickly and in good condition. Some minor assembly required but well explained and some assembly tools included. The counter blade MUST be correctly adjusted before the shredder is first switched on to avoid excessive and rapid wear of the blade. This should be made more clear in the instructions.
In use the shredder quickly deals with long twiggy items such as tree and bush prunings. It does tend to clog if too much green waste is added. If this happens the cutting blades are easily accessed for unclogging via a hatch after 4 bolts are removed. (Allen key for this is provided.)
There is a number of safety features plus an overload cutout. So far the 2800 watt motor has barely slowed down no matter what materials have been shredded.
The 50 liter shreddings container does fill up quickly and shreddings do tend to pile up under the cutter outlet. This needs frequent attention while in use.
I gave this item 4 stars rather than 5 because it mysteriously cut out after an hour of use and would not restart or reset even after leaving it to the following day. A couple of days later when I was preparing to return it under warranty it started working again and has been fine ever since.Read full review

Excellent product and supplier
I highly recommend this product and the supplier. I was a little worried as it was a refurbishment. However when opened it was brand new no scratches and it had been checked for power with the sticker. Runs like a dream making easy work of the garden and it’s got safety features which is great.
This is the same price as the lower spec and lower powered machine so it is fantastic value.Read full review

Exceeded expectations
Was sceptical when I saw the size of this but it really means business - had no problem munching through 4cm branches, pulling in all attached smaller branches and foliage. Bought it because I had removed several very pickles bushes - they were harmless after being shredded and a fraction of the size. A potential twelve trips to the dump (with a pickup) were reduced to just one!Read full review

Good for branches, not the best for smaller stuff
gets through the wood very well smaller stuf not so much, I wanted this as I was clearing a lot of stuff, wanted something that my garden vac couldnt handle doesn't quite fit the bill for the slightly bigger stuff but really good for branches Read full review

Impressed
I have had budget shredders in the past and been disappointed, bought this on the basis of the reviews and wow!! I have been impressed. Used it twice now for several hours at a time and it chomps through branches even the larger ones it’s a breeze. Doesn’t clog up like my other ones and the container although being flimsy is really useful. I would really recommend this item A++++++++++++Read full review

Highly recommended!
Got this Shredder to process a 10m high, 25m long very neglected beech hedge. It merrily chopped it's way through everything we threw at it. I limited the size of the branches to what I could pre-trim with large hand croppers so around 40mm diameter and, even though the wood was wet and full of leaf, it handled the job perfectly. Only criticism would be the waste bin. Obviously cannot be much larger due to the frame etc. but perhaps some way of compressing the chippings to extend the time between emptying? The wife (aged 60) was in charge of the Shredder and propped the feet over a bit of 4" X 4" to encourage the chips to fall away from the discharge and this helped but even she was emptying the bucket every few minutes. Imagine 3 compost bins made of euro pallets - that's what this machine processed in a few hours over 3 days. Brilliant and would highly recommend it! AndyRead full review

No manual with this mproduct
Firstly there is no instructions for it and had to go online and pay for the pdf which i thought was not a good idea when dealing with such a dangerous item, to know how to put it together properly is paramount.
