Good product

It's a Midland, which says quality all the way around. I've owned Midland before and never had any problems. I bought this one because it's very compact and suitable for newer cars that have limited space for mounting accessories under the dash. It seems to work well but will know more when the antenna arrives.Read full review

It’s a handheld radio

The radio is full of features for what it is. It’s fairly easy to use and has a good feel in the hand. Definitely needs a better antenna but all handhelds do.

Rechargable battery pack issues

The pack for the rechargable batteries needs to be redesigned due to the fact that unless you tweak all the metal contacts, it will not work. I was able to get it to work good enough but for the price, it should be better. That is my only complaint about this radioRead full review

Excellent Gift for Outdoor People

Is a gift for outdoorsy daughter. Often times cell phone service is sparse when hiking, etc., and having a portable CB while hiking and traveling is another way to get help the unexpected happens. This unit also has the ability to go from handheld to hooked up inside your vehicle while motoring to new adventures. one of the best handheld CB out of my 100 collection GREAT RANGE

I'm a collector of handheld CB's and have over 100 different models that I test for power and range..... this radio powered by 8 rechargeable 1.2 volt batteries got some of the best range out of my collection.... using the Rubber Duck antenna I was able to talk to my 50 foot tall Base station from over 2 miles away... using a HYS 51" telescoping antenna I was able to talk to the base station at 3.5 miles away!
I also plugged it into my F-150 cigarette lighter and Tram 3500 antenna and was able to talk to my base antenna 10 miles away!!! this is the smallest handheld CB and the wattage output is nothing to speak of... but it performs fantasticRead full review

Mighty Mini

Needed something with a small foot print for a Jeep. Also needed it to be multifaceted for use as a mobile mount and quickly adaptable to carry. Expected the performance to suffer as a jack of all radios. Pulled the trigger and after using it both as a mobile and carry I could not be more surprised. Maybe I received the 1 in 100 that performs with some of the other mobile units I have used. There is no need to worry about leaving it on the porch as this little guy can run with the big dogs. Antenna used on the jeep is 108 inch whip when parked/camped and a short loaded fiberglass while trailing. Also, suggest you invest in rechargeable AA's for carry if you plan on high power. Power out measured with a Bird 43 and dummy load exceeded specs on all channels.Read full review
