Behind the ear

Great product for the money. Amplifies sound real good, but no filtering of background noise. I had very expensive behind the ear and in the ear devices before. They always quit working as soon as the warranty expired. Always had to buy batteries. Like that I can just recharge it. Yes it was inexpensive, but for what I paid for the high quality ones, I can buy a ton of these. Enough said!Read full review

Heard better without it.

Product is not as advertised. I conducted several different tests to see how it would do. Quiet environment, noisy, etc... 1) Turned my stereo down low. The Magic ear never picked up a sound. However, I could hear the music with no problem without using the device. 2) Tried to listen to the TV about 30 feet away at level as if two people were having a conversation. Had to turn the device up to its maximum setting. Could barely hear the TV, but almost blasted my eardrums when my shirt cuff rubbed against it. Sorry, but this is a waste of money. Read full review

Comparison to $3500 spent for hearing aid

I wish I had researched hearing aids before I went to a hearing aid center. Had a hearing test and then went to have the new aids put together for me. my insurance paid for most but still cost me hundreds of dollars. the expensive one has no on and off switch , no sound control and requires new batteries every 3 or 4 days. Yours has all the features I want and has a charging station. Excellent value and a small fraction of the cost. thanksRead full review

good quality and indescreet

rechargable hearing aid is similar to another model MDX 30 I purchased from Walgreens a few years ago. This one was about 40% cheaper and has the same features and quality. So far it works great.

Hearing device

Perfect for me. Took a bit to get past the background noises and the hissing sound when I first put it on, but at least I am able to respond to a conversation without having to say, what, huh and could you repeat that? Great for watching tv. I'm satisfied.Read full review

Great substitute if you can't get hearing aids

This worked amazingly well for my elderly friend. Hearing aids are not really an option for her right now, so we gave this a try. To test it, I stood at the other side of the room, covered my mouth, and quietly asked her to repeat what I said. She heard every bit. She can listen to the TV now with the volume at a regular level and not blaringly loud. When not in use, she forgets to turn it off, but the batteries have not quit for days so it's not an energy hogging device.Read full review

Works, but hard to keep in place

Seemed to work as described, but my dad could not use it. It's difficult to get it to stay put behind the ear and keep it adjusted so you get the benefit of the amplification. If he wore glasses, it might help to tape the hearing aid to them, but he does not. So, didn't work for him.Read full review

Hearing Aid Device is NOT a hearing aid. (Very misleading)

Didn't work that great! Ear piece was always falling out of my ear. Couldn't do anything while wearing it as I had to hold it in place. WalMart has the best Amplifier for $60.00. (PS This is not a hearing aid.)Read full review

Amplifier

It's better than nothing, but let's face it...you get what you pay for. If you want to see what an amplifier sounds like, try it. It's definitely not too expensive. To me, it did amplify sounds, but not specifically voices. The sound was hollow and tinny. But it was louder than I can usually hear.Read full review
