A handy item for your smart phone car GPS

This car vent smart phone holder is excellent for using your phone as a GPS. It is small and easy to remove and travel with if you change cars. I had lost one and to replace it I found it for almost 1/2 the price on eBay. Just be sure that your vent louvres are fairly
thin and not too curved.

Magnet much too weak

Grips onto air vent fins very well. I have a slim metal plate mounted under my phone battery cover which also has a thin silicone cover and the magnet can barely hold on. The slightest movement knocks the phone loose. Scosche mount magnets have no problem. If you mount the metal plate to the outside of your phone or case, you might be ok with the Logitech mount.Read full review

Finally a phone holder that is strong, small and looks integrated with the car!

Good for a year

Bought two of these and they both failed in about year. The silicon started to crack and now it's gone so the mount won't grip the AC outlet vanes anymore. There are better units to choose from. The magnets were strong enough to hold but no strong enough to survive bumps in the road. My Moto One fell multiple times in a 250 mile drive along US 460.Read full review

I phone holder

I lease my car so having a connector that did not damage the dash in any way was paramount. I haven't hit any large bumps but in regular driving, all I have to do is place my I phone 5 on the button and it stays there, well within reach on my 2016 Cadillac ATS, but also out of the way. Even with the added weight of the Logitech charger case, it seems to ride there well attached.

This item also should hold the phone securely on either my 1979 or 1981 Cadillacs which have similar A/C vents on the dash. Great item.Read full review

It's just OK

Bought the newest logitech one which is all black plastic. And fits perfectly on the vent preventing it from moving around with a very strong magnet. This one in turn, moves around, the fit is not as snug and also the magnet not as strong. However, I can tell you that it's worth the money. As the other one is $59.Read full review

Promising but does not deliver.

The windshield mount was disappointing for it broke in less than 5mins of arrival. It was an engineering disaster. Why would you use a cheap plastic as a knob that is under lot of vacuum pressure?!. The vent one was actually good, so all was not lost for this purchase. Read full review

Good car mount

This is a good holder. As long as you are OK with sticking the metal plate to your phone or case. The magnet clips to air vent slat. Sometimes it comes off so you have to angle the phone off and not pull straight out. But it's pretty easy. Looks good, just a small round magnet, not some big clunky holder. This was a great value -- comes in a simple ziploc with no instructions. But the boxed version in the store costs four times as much!Read full review
