The Logitech Harmony Hub and Companion Remote work well together. The remote communicates with the Hub via RF, so there is no line of sight as with other universal remotes.

Buttons have a nice feel to them so that you know when they've triggered. They feel like they will last a while.

Slow

While I was able to copy my Harmony 700 remote to the Companion that is where I stopped liking this remote. Response had a long delay which gave me fits when fast forwarding and trying to go back to play. It Just seemed unresponsive. New Logitech Harmony remotes are an improvement

Very easy to set up through the app, and much more intuitive than the old IR-based remotes. Bought this model from an eBay seller listing as manufacturer refurbished. Powerful Functions

Works perfect for me. I bought it to replace an older Harmony IR remote which was not capable of controlling my Amazon Fire TV stick. This controls everything without pointing it at my equipment. Doesn’t seem to emulate all the functions available on the original remote. I may not be using the “customize” feature properly to accomplish this.

Must have smart remote
