Instructions would be useful.
This glue works but applying it can be a bit tricky (how much to use, how long does it take to set, what's the best thing to remove excess etc.) so it really should be supplied with instructions. However that's Loctite's responsibility and omission. I'm not blaming the supplier who dealt efficiently with my order.Read full review

Glass bond discontinued
After talking to Loctite I have now discovered that Glass bond is no longer available and the glass glue, which was sent in it's place, doesn't have the same refractory index or cure in uv light and the finnished effect differs in as much as the repair can be seen.Read full review

Didnt do what it said it would
I bought this to stick a very delicate glass ornament but it just would not stick it. I tried very hard to get it to bond the glass but even though I had followed the instructions to the latter, it just would not bond. Tried other loctite products but without success.Read full review

Worked on my glass window ornament
I used this to stick together my hanging glass window ornament which had broken into 3 pieces. It's thin glass so I wasn't sure if it would work but so far so good. I did have to restick one piece before hanging it after nudging it made it drop off again, so I think the fix is very delicate. However one week later it's remained stuck together and hanging up in my window. You can see the joins where the breaks were but I don't think there's any way round that.Read full review

Crystal Clear!
Needed a clear, strong and waterproof yet sun-proof adhesive to stick a plastic strip to both the inside and outside of a window.
Saw this glue advertised in the media. Tried to purchase it through a well-known DIY store but they didn't stock it.
Looked on line. Found it. Bought it.
Initially, it has done exactly what we expected of it.
Time will tell if it stands up to the hot sun and/or condensation......Here's hoping!
Only disappointment was there was a lot less glue in the tube than we imagined. Could really have done with two tubes, consequently we felt we skimped on application - but hey! Shoulda-Coulda-Woulda !
Lets see what happens. If this glue is as good as it purports to be we should be OK!Read full review

Easy to use but the bond could be stronger.
It works, is easy to use and clean up. However, the bond is not super strong, much weaker than the surrounding glass. This is probably OK for many uses but not where strength is required.

Still stuck up!
Loctite Glass Bond does exactly what it says. With a density that seems to match the glass when set you can hardly see the join. Position the pieces first to ensure a correct fit, a couple of drops along one edge and stick and hold it in place till it sets. (Seconds) I first used this glue around 25 years ago to stick a handle on a Land Rover window. It was still there despite being pushed and pulled on virtually a daily basis for 10 years.Read full review

Used to salvage treasured sculpture worked well.
Glued broken glass sculpture that was broken in 5 pieces. 4 joints went OK but 5th was much more fragmented and chipped at edges. So did not fit together as well. Soaked edges in acetone ( nail varnish remover) to clean off old glue. Used more glue on the 3rd attempt and it worked fine. Cracks may be visible but in my case this is OK.Read full review

Not as good as I expected. Does not have the refractive index of glass and so any repair is still obvious. The bond is not very strong either. I think

The bond is not very strong either. I think many other cyanoacrylate glues would do the same jobRead full review

works, but care needed.
it does glue glass, but you have to hold in position while it sets any variation whilst holding and that's it !!!! Can't reposition, unlike the older type glass glue which uses sunlight for an instant setting rate, I don't think the older uv glue is still available.Read full review
