Good computer but..

The computer seems to work fine but one issue I have is it seems to take far too long when switching off. Another issue is I can't see a hard-drive indicator so you sometimes think it has crashed but it is working. Pre-loaded with software you'll probably not want or use so customising the computer can be very time consuming. Hi guys,
needed a second laptop just to do some basic work online and a bit of browsing nothing to taxing. I thought this would fit the bill. Unfortunately it can even do that. Let me be straight I wasn't expecting anything spectacular but this laptop is terrible. It is extremely slow ,flickers when you open the homepage on internet explorer and freezes. It upgraded to windows 10 fine but my gut feeling is that there are compatability issues because something is not right with this laptop . It is probably the same reason that it was refurbished. Couple of other things, it came with a Maxathon browser pre installed ???? why?? and windows edge wont work,i t currently is stuck on the page I was browsing 3 weeks ago and wont even close down. I was quite happy with the Lenovo apart from the fact that I have to use external speakers as the inbuilt speakers didn't work. I had a technical friend help and he tried hard but came to the same conclusion.
