Awesome buy
This product saves a ton of time from individual powder measuring. I still check to see if it spits out the correct amount of powder ever so often and it is sticking true to its performance. I have two of these set up for each caliber for my Lee Precision Load-Master Progressive Press that way the grains are the same for my different calibers. This also saves on time when switching from one caliber to another.Read full review

Best of all of Lee's powder measures, on every point.
I have used every other powder-metering device which Lee Precision has ever produced, and several made by RCBS and Hornday. This powder measure is definitely the best one of its kind that Lee has ever produced, and works as well as any other brand.
The main points that this gets best:
- Zero powder spillage. I loaded 200 rounds and got not a single flake anywhere.
- Accurate. Every single charge was within .1gr, every time. I checked every round for the first 10 rd when using it for the first time, and then every 20 - 30 rd thereafter.
- Quick cylinder change. It changes very quickly from the pistol cylinder to the rifle cylinder with a single screw.
- Adding/replacing powder results in zero spillage. The convenient on/off of the powder hopper when refilling makes it very clean.
- Economical. Why pay 5x more for the RCBS/Hornady when this is just as accurate and in fact easier to use than those are.
Altogether this powder measure design is one of the best powder measures on the market, and clearly the best design Lee has come up with.Read full review

Worked better than expected.
I purchased this to help speed up my reloading time when loading 5.56 ammo on my Lee classic auto indexing turret press. So far I am very pleased with the results. No spilled powder and seems to throw very accurate loads. Wish I had got it sooner.Read full review

Major problem otherwise great product.
Works great and drop consitancy powder measures. There is one big flaw and it's the main reason why Im giving this product 3 stars. The Lee auto drum leaks powder as you use it. It leaks a little at a time but after a 100 rounds or more it starts to add up. It gets everywhere. I tried tightened the center thumb screw but it doesnt make much of a difference.Read full review

Lee auto-drum powder measure
It took some getting used to but it is working good now. directions could have been better. I wish it had a metal rod that makes the measure work., the plastic one looks easy to break..

Lee auto drum
All in all I like this powder drop. With the powders I've used in it so far it seems to do pretty good. Once it settles in it drops right around +/- .05 grain with ball powders and only slightly more with n320 pistol powder. I haven't seen any leakage of powde nor during use like some people have but then I'm not running any of the super fine powders either so your results may vary. I rub a little bit of graphite powder on the surface of the drums before I use them for the first time which seems to let everything move smoothly from the start with appropriate tightness on the adjustment knob.Read full review

Very nice accurate!
I have a Lee Pro 1000 loader that I just purchased, and it came with the auto disks.
Although those were good and dropped fairly accurate loads they are limited on getting just the right load for your rounds.
This has so far after 200 rounds loaded been excellent! It has been very accurate and you can easily adjust it depending on what you want your loads to fall at. An issue I had with the powder disks was static electricity keeping powder up in the fill tube. After applying graphite powder in and around the areas of where the powder fell, readings increased in accuracy. Before assembling the Lee auto drum I did the same with it. And right off I was getting good drops with it.
I used brake clean on a q-tip and cleaned inside the metal area of the bottom of the measure before applying the graphite.
Do NOT use the brake clean on or around rubber seals, or plastic parts though! Simply apply the graphite powder in those areas.
But still avoid the wiper or rubber seals!Read full review

Great product for an affordable price.
I use several different brands of equipment and Lee makes some of the most affordable products that work just as good as the most expensive products. I use the lee auto drum for all of my pistol loads as well as 223. Loads with 2.7 to 2.9 grains of a flakey powder up to 24.5 to 27 grains of a ball powder on a progressive press really works great for plinking rounds that are almost as accurate as precise loads weighed individually. Highly recommend.Read full review

Excellent results
I set this powder measure up according to the instructions, threw some charges to set the weight. Started loading and checked every charge. Three out of 30 charges were .1grain light. Discovered it was due to my handling and spilled powder. This measure is as accurate as Lee’s Perfect Powder Measure. I will be purchasing more of these measures.Read full review
