This is a pretty good unit with a very large, colorful display which makes it easier to read.
The Remote unit seems to cut out a lot and not display the readings. Temporarily it is located in my basement until I make a place for it out side.
The remote unit MIGHT have a function that puts it in sleep mode if the readings don't change, It does come on, on it's own periodically to show it's readings but doesn't display all the time..........Read full review

Nice features - don't buy a refurbished one

I bought a refurbished one; it is a nice weather station with nice features the only problem the weather station often show dashes for outdoor temp because it looses connection with outdoor sensor.

Desktop, best use.

It works fine and has nice color distinctions, so at a glance you can distinguish temps, times or dates, however it's not for your bedroom if light is an issue for sensitive sleepers like my wife. Refurbished in New Condition

I bought two of this weather station and both are working great. The display though has a very limited range and angle of view. You need to be near and at eye level with the display to read the information. This unit has 3 channels to receive information from 3 remote sensors. If you only have one sensor the display has to be cycled off otherwise display of outside temp and humidity will be on and off as the display cycles thru the channels, making one think that the link between the display and sensor is not constantly being maintained. Overall, I am satisfied with the weather station so far. I hope the sensor will last long as in most cases it is the weakest link and the first to die.Read full review

Great features-great value!

Product just as pictured. We were looking for a weather station with easy install, large display, multi-featured. I have seen this brand with these options for a higher price-easy install-instructions on use easy to follow. Like new refurbished product

I paid about 3/5 of the price compared to a brand new unit. This refurbished product looks and functions like a new one. The color is very sharp, esp. in the dark when all lights are out. However, it looks dim under ambient light. Also, the viewing angle is quite narrow. You have to glance at it at certain angles to have a clear look. However, since the screen is quite big (which I like) you can see the numbers from at least 10 feet away. Features I like: humidity, temp trend (will go up/down), weather forecast (don't know how it can distinguish coming snow vs rain) and atomic clock (accurate to the sec like a cell phone). At installation somehow it couldn't detect the outdoor sensor but after a reset procedure (sounds silly to press the same button for 20 times to reset it) it works well. I have used it for only 2 weeks now. Hope that it will last.Read full review

Easy to read weather information

Weather station was easy to set up. Numbers are easy to see and quite bright. Actually had to turn the setting down because they were a little too bright and eye catching. We did order a protective casing for the sensor. Just couldn't see it in the rain and snow but who knows how it would have done out there. We are having a real nasty winter so I'm glad I did. Unfortunately, I had to order the protective storage from Amazon.
With the weather station, it's easy to check what the indoor humidity is too. The forecasting feature seems to be accurate as well as the temperature and humidity readings. We really like the product. Couldn't even tell that it was a refurbished model.Read full review

Outdoor information

For some reason, the information from the outdoor sensor goes blank, several times a day. After a few minutes the information reappears. I have tried resetting and re-positioning the sensor and looked in the manual but have not found a reason for this happening. It appears to happen on some type of schedule, but haven't spent the time to document. i have been satisfied with La Crosse products in the past but I would not recommend purchasing this unit.Read full review

Compact with Great features

Product is full of all the information one would need at a glance. Easy to setup and install. Viewing the screen is best done at eye level. Only problem was getting the Atomic time to work. Readability is King
