Best vintage digital
If you have a Sony A Mount Camera with vintage Minolta A Mount Lenses and you want the best Konica Minolta vintage DSLR. Get this camera, Bokeh is wonderful especially with a 28 - 135 mm Handshake Lens, Most controls are manual, but there is plenty to play with and learn, its a great way to hone photography skills.
Word of warning, this camera had a problem in the past, so before you buy, make sure it does not suffer from FIRST FRAME BLACK, This is when after a long period of not being used the first picture you take comes out black, usually switching off and then back on will set things right, but Minolta and Sony offered a free repair around the late 2000s, so check whether this has been done before purchase. Oldie but goldie!
Despite the low pixel count, results from this camera in fair to good light are outstanding and compare with current SLRs. It's not so good in low light, partly because the image stabiliser isn't as good as the modern equivalent. Another advantage is that there are loads of Minolta/Sony AF lenses available quite cheaply that will fit and work perfectly.
The body is heavy but personally I don't mind that. It does take a few seconds to get going when you switch it on but that doesn't worry me.Read full review
