Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Computer Speakers

Ultra: The Better ProMedia 5.1 Control Version.

Most failures with Klipsch's enduring favorite among computer speaker fans--the ProMedia 5.1 system--are not due to problems with the control box (pod). The system known for great sound quality has problems that can be addressed/upgraded inside the subwoofer. The one issue that could cause an owner to replace the control box is when it becomes erratic in adjusting volume. This version (the silver, Ultra box) is easy to clean. Just pull the knob and apply a contact cleaner to the digital encoder that is then easily accessible. The earlier black control pod (non-Ultra version) needs to be dismantled in order to be able to apply the needed contact cleaner.
One enticing option may be better than even this Ultra: programming an Arduino board to make the ProMedia 5.1's control wireless. Until Arduino controls are made available, this control box is the best option.Read full review

This system can produce outstanding sound quality. I have bought two complete systems, and both of them only lasted a few months. Speakers died, and both main systems failed. One with a small internal fire. Nice price, super sound, but not worth the moneyRead full review

Klipsch for years now has been and still is the best sounding highest quality of sound you can buy. The products blow away the competition. There simply is no comparison. If you love Klipsch

So when my 5.1 Pro Media Ultras starting failing I realized I could no longer find high end wired PC speakers. I also didn't like the idea of buying 2.1 set-up. He was able to give me a working controller and then I sent him my amp electronics panel which he fixed and upgraded with cooling.
