Klein Tools CL380 400A AC/DC Digital Clamp Meter

I have only used this meter a short time and only for basic readings. This is the first meter I've had with the clamp/claw for reading amperage. Repaired an electric furnace this week and it was helpful in testing good function after the repair. There are several YouTube videos that helped to learn special features and functions. Solid tool of good quality

A solid tool of good quality. It is a great value. I have used various Klein tools during my 35 years as an Electrician and this multimeter with clamp on works for what I need. If you need a meter which responds faster or is more accurate you will have to spend a lot more money.Read full review

Great clamp meter for the price

The AC/DC clamp meter works extremely well and with all the other functions and accessories included it make a great all in one digital meter. The reverse LCD is easy to read under most lighting and the volt, ohm, temperature readings are extremely accurate. I checked this one out with a Fluke 77IV and the readings were virtually identical on everything checked. The ability to read DC amps with the meter was the main reason for purchasing this unit and it works great when checking how much current a car alternator is putting out or much DC amperage other devices or drawing. There is an additional accessory made for the meter which is also worth purchasing and that is an AC line splitter which you can plug into a wall outlet and measure the current being drawn by house hold devices like an air conditioner, refrigerator, TV and many more. This becomes very useful when determining how much is safe to run on a generator or to keep track on electrical usage. Great ergonomics, good quality, decent price

I'm really pleased with this Clamp Meter. I've only had experience with a Craftsman, which was pretty old, but the quality and ergonomics of this Klein device are much better. I've only used the clamp over feature on low amperage DC wires so far, and the accuracy seems good.Read full review

Cheapest DC Amp Clamp meter

Cheapest meter I could find that measures DC Amperage via the clamp. Needed it to see how much draw plow was putting on battery. Works perfect.
