Kittyhawk's 1/48 Su-34 Fullback - a very pleasant surprise!
Kittyhawk have a well-deserved reputation as being a bit of a "curate's egg; good in parts" and this was what I was expecting with their new Su-34 Fullback kit.
I can happily report that this is definitely one of their better efforts and will build into an excellent replica of one of Russia's most modern strike aircraft.
The box is all but bulging with light grey plastic and has the added bonus of a very nice set of resin 'burner cans included. A heapin' helpin' of things that go "bang!" to hang under the wings and fuselage is there and the decals allow for aircraft in both the older "blue" scheme and the new "eggplant" blue/grey over light blue scheme.

This kit is incredibly detailed. From the sests with separate cushion pieces and photo etch seat belts to the full color instructions, resin engines, super detailed cockpit and wheel assemblies. The best Su-34 out there
Kitty Hawk has really pulled it off with this Su-34. It's miles better than the HobbyBoss version and aside from the Platypusgate drama on that kit, it's a pretty decent kit. KH just executed it all very well. Clearly the best Su-34 in any scale.Read full review
