QRM Eliminator...easy to build
The QRM Eliminator was easy to build, make sure you have small tweezers to handle the few surface mount diodes, etc. The unit was purchased to eliminate close by man-made noises, ie. nearby Plasma TV's, etc. The kit was installed in a small metal box, total time for building was about 2 hours. After completed it was connected to a shortwave receiver as well as a Ham Radio Xcvr (ICOM)....tuned the bands and heard more than enough noise to test the device. Knowing the interence was emanating from the next door neighbor TV, the Noise antenna (just a small length ofplain wire) was utilized. It definitely takes some practice, patience and little time using the QRM Eliminator to get the hang of it....in addition, make all adjustments very slowly and it will work fine....just patience and you can eliminate many sources of noise.
