Kilmer glass barrel,

Nice little item ,could do with a lid that instead using measure to fill gap,even a flip type silver lid ,but I think it great ,keeps port nice once made own lid,Kilmer,famous glass pickling secure ,keep in flavour.this item is awesome for whiskey but needs a seal lid for alcohol to keep essenceRead full review

Making the good great

Your barrel as it stands is already good but in my view it falls short of being first class, for only two reasons:
1. The lack of an actual stopper is a significant draw-back. If the barrel is accidentally dropped or rolled over, spillage is inevitable without a top that fits firmly. Using the measuring receptacle as an informal 'stopper' seems like a neat idea, but is in fact, I think, a mistake. (In my own case, I've made a new stopper and it greatly improves the look of the barrel as well as its practicality.
2. The barrel itself looks and feels authentic and solid. The little wooden stand that it sits on (essential to get the tap sufficiently high off the table or sideboard) lets it down. It looks very lightweight and really quite shoddy. I think it would make the whole package much more attractive if the stand were of a slightly higher standard of construction, including better wood. (In my own case, as my barrel is destined to be the trophy at a golf championship, I veneered part of the stand in mahogany and restained it all before adding the championship silver plaques.)
N.B. I hope this doesn't sound over-critical. I think the barrel is a fun purchase and good value as it is. It's just that being as good as it is, I believe that it deserves the two improvements I've mentioned - which would turn your product from "good" to "great".

Mine leeked,would advise to test it first with water,and tighten tap before filling with your fav tipple.

Would advise to fill with water, as mine leeked all over the place, check the tap is tightened, before you put your booze in it, I would not recommend it.
