O.k. it seems expensive initially but the saving in running costs is massive.
It Was easy to fit, very minimal, good bright lights, and does not increse temperature of tank water in hot weather like old florescent bulbs.
Last lot of four t5's I spent good money on were all defunct within 18 months.
No more hassel waiting for replacements while plants are dying.
Pay initially and you will not be disappointed in these led onesRead full review

Beware, no "Moonlight" without separate controller, stupid switch position.
I ordered this expensive LED lighting unit for my Trigon Aquarium because I knew it would fit. I was under the impression that it could operate in two modes, "Daylight" and "Moonlight" but it turns out this is only possible with the separate controller at £110 extra!!!
Also, the switch for the light is situated about 6 inches from the power plug, not on the lighting unit itself, so if your sockets are behind your aquarium you will have to run an extension just so you can turn them on or off.
The light is fine but I feel ripped off that there is no manual option to switch to "Moonlight" mode.Read full review

All good
OK...not cheap but it should last a long time and the light quality/tone is good. LED is a bit more "green" too
