These are public space industry standard units, easy to mount, power and deploy. Their life cycle defect is limited mostly to main driver foam surround decay but this is easily repaired with kits on the market. They are now over 20 years old in design and can probably do another 20 years after a refurbishment.

Speaker cones were torn when I took the grills off, had the damaged speaker replaced, two weeks later, both speakers crumbled into dust, I was devastated.
I'll never buy "pre-owned" items ever again and stay clear of "vintage products". They are pretty much ready to conk out.

Perfect for my workshop!

The good old Control Ones, an iconic speaker that does exactly what it does on the tin. Installed and sounding good in my workshop/man cave above the work bench. The brackets are neat and easily fitted but I wouldn't suggest removing them often as they'd easily wear out or break with repeated removal or repositioning. I wouldn't class these as true hifi speakers but ideal for for those who can't be bothered with these newfangled wireless smart speakers and want a secondary old school system in similar locations such as a kitchen or workshop. Add a Bluetooth compatible amp and some two core cable, job done. Don't go wasting money on fancy speaker cable, 2 core lighting flex is just fine.Read full review

An excellent little speaker for the money. I've got them in my motorhome and they sound really good. Smooth sound with good bass for the size, and good treble detail.
I think you would need something bigger though for indoor use.Read full review

Great small speakers
