This washing machine is excellent. 6 Great quick wash programes. easy to use. Spins very well. Quiet. Sold dispenser drawer. Bought for my mum and is much better than the one i bought for £3o. less. Wish i had bought this one instead. Washes well. nice clear display panel. Good size drum. ostensibly quite a good machine but we had a burning smell / fumes after spinning at 1400 after 15 months. Indesit gave free assessment and replacement of the door seal which seemed to have given the acrid smell. After 18 months I noticed the door hinge was rocking excessively. This was also repaired free after some persistence. I questioned how long a hinge may be expected to last.
It does wash ok and has a 30 min program which was what wife wanted. I would have preferred a hot fill as we have hot water all year either from solar panels in summer or from central heating of hot water in cylinder in winter, but dual fill machines are very rare, so thanks to the climate changers, we use more electricity than should be necessary.Read full review

Great machine!
Done a fair few washes with this machine, and so far I can't fault it! It's very quiet, I had to keep checking it was switched on! Noisiest part is when it makes a loud click at the end of the cycle when the wash is done. Clothes come out smelling clean and wasn't too damp after spinning. The short wash cycles are great as they take less than an hour. Very happy with this machine, I would definitely recommend it!Read full review

good looking machine
My new 1400 machine looks very nice and is easy to use. The programmes complete in a quicker time than my previous Indesit 1400 machine. My only disappointment is that the 1400 spin speed is not "available" to the majority of everyday programmes resulting in washing that is wetter than with my previous machine. This impacts on the drying time and electricity used when I use my tumble drier.
I guess that for the price, I should not be slightly disappointed but I bought 1400 for the spin speed.
The advertisement blurb does say "maximum speed 1400" so its not really misleading. I suggest a bit extra clarity for the purchaser.Read full review

Very quiet, big and quick!
Great machine for the price. Large 9kg capacity is ideal for families. It's quiet so can set it to start early morning and be finished when you get up and the noise won't wake everyone up. Fast settings only spin at 1000, but can do a 10 minute 1400 spin after or wash on eco setting which takes longer but spins more.Read full review
