Hydrogen Peroxide 3% 1000ml / 1L

Used for a potted plant to kill fungas fly eggs and larvae, recommended strength of solutions to do this are from 3% - 6%

Marked down 1 star, as not impressed; that the secure bottle cap was stuck onto the bottle, removing the lid was impossible as the latching teeth had been broken from the bottle lid being overtightened, had to cut the bottle open and will need to find a new bottle for leftover contents.

Product seemed to work well and reacted with the leftover residual soil I could not remove from the roots, prior to repotting with fresh compost.

For those unaware that may find it useful to know.

The Hydrogen Peroxide reacts with the biological matter in the soil, the effect is akin to fizzing, this reaction kills both the good and bad soil fungas and nutrients, but also fungas flies, eggs and larvae can be treated.

Be aware it is best to remove as much soil from the root bowl first, and it is best to repot after as a result of the soils nutrients being destroyed by the process.

A different kind of bleach

Peroxide is a wonderful cleaning product. Full strength it removes red wine and blood from fabric without ruining it like bleach would. Do be careful to test on an out of the way place first. It will bleach out some dyes, particularly those used on cotton terrycloth. It has saved a lot of tablecloths from disaster.Read full review
