The remote control was not the original and was not very good. Fortunately I already have the same machine in another room so I am using my own remote. The machine is good so I am still pleased with my purchase.Read full review

Much to complicated to operate.
The product is well made, but the operation is needlessly complicated. I own two other HDD recorders, a Goodmans and a Panasonic, both are childs play to both record and play. This Humax HDD recorder is not user friendly, and i would definitely not reccomend it to any one who has limited experience with electronic equipment.Read full review

Works a treat
I was struggling with an older Goodmans pvr reception wise,trying various scary to hdmi connection boxes..wasting my time.
I should have gone for this Humax much sooner.

this recorder has a digital time display that is accurate for an hour or so after an operation, then it drops back an hour. Playback stops and stutters after an hour or so. The picture quality is very poor with 'heavy' colour and, picture format setting does not work.Read full review
