Once assembled, the reel is sturdy and does its job well. The pictorial instructions on the box flap, if larger, would make Ikea proud. Study them well! The wall mounting facility adds to versatility - although I haven't used it. With a 30m Ultimate (heavy duty) hose full of residual water, it is quite easy to carry around if required. I think it should come with a caddy to store the various attachments one might have. Otherwise a good buy.Read full review

Not great

Well packaged and is indeed a hose reel
The instructions are printed on the inside flap of the box and are a bit vague
if you have large hands it very difficult to fit the water inlet valve to the reels body and tighten it enough to work without leaking, mine has fallen off twice

When i leaned on the carry handle on rewinding to gain some purchase the handle collapsed as the locknuts cant be tightened enough to hold the handle in position

Lastly i selected this unit as i needed a 50m hose, when the hose is fully extended the rewind process has to be carried out really slowly otherwise the hose will come off the reel, tangle and be really loose around the reel so when used again its a mare to unroll it

Efficient watering system.

Just what I needed

I’m delighted with this hose reel. You have to assemble it yourself and in line with so many of the reviews I’ve read I can confirm that the instructions provided on the box are very difficult to follow. However there is an excellent video on YouTube that is clear and very easy to follow. Using that I put it together in about 20 mins. I could probably have done it quicker if I hadn’t felt the need to watch the video about 3 times before I started!!. Anyway I’m very pleased with the result. I’d be surprised if you could fit 60m of hose on it though, I’ve got 30m on there with room to spare of course but I doubt I’d get the same amount again on there. I’ve mounted it on the wall using the brackets included and it seems very sturdy. I’d definitely recommend this and hope to get many years of use from it.Read full review

Good quality hose reel wall mounted / free standing

The assembly instructions on the box are rubbish. I used a youtube video which was easy to follow.
The wall mountings are very good especially the locking clips which prevent the reel from jumping out of the brackets when winding on the hose.

The quality and performance of this reel beats lesser brands as I have found to my cost. It just about holds the capacity of hose stated. No leaks, smooth running and resilient.
