Hoover hurricane replaced my carpets when i wasn't looking!

Brilliant. Having bought a new vacuum cleaner a few times and wasted money as they haven't worked well or broke too quickly I was sceptical. This hurricane so far is fantastic. It is pretty light and easy to manoeuvre even doing stairs. It picks up really well and has lots of attachments. My dogs are very hairy and shed lots, the hurricane had no difficulty. Replaced carpets is a bit exaggerated but they do look so much better (embarrassing amount of dirt picked up). My only criticism so far is the length of the handle being a little short, but I am 5'11" and if you are taller than me I would say you possibly may have to bend more than is comfortable. Hoover upright Vac

Looks good and does a really good job but a design failure in the unfinished looking handle which isn't comfortable to hold or use for any length of time and feels a bit loose when using as a normal upright vacuum cleaner. The extending hose which joins the pull out handle to give extended reach for stairs and pelmets is a good idea but in use it rocks the vacuum and pulls it over and a bit of a pain to assemble. The pet brush is handy but the storage bracket is useless. Overall it does a good job but Hoover have been at it long enough to know that hey have badly designed a machine in their range .

Different from cylinder

I've always used a cylinder cleaner before but am happy to try an upright. It's more difficult to use the attachments but otherwise seems to have a stronger suction.
