Honeywell L641A Hot Water Cylinder Thermostat

Long lasting thermostat

I bought this thermostat to replace an earlier model of the same 'stat - the old one had only lasted thirty two years!!!

This thermostat has 'change over' contacts - these are required if you have a 'Y' Plan system, A thermostat with only make or break contacts would not allow a 'Y' Plan system to work correctly.
If you are not sure of your system, Google 'Y Plan heating system, although this 'stat will work on other systems.

Very easy to fit, although I would recommend that you either take a photograph or make a drawing of the wiring on the old unit to make sure that you get it right first time.

The product was received in time and was reasonably priced. Looks genuine Honeywell product. Fitting took about 30 minutes. Did not have to use the strap as I used the existing strap. Easy to replace original Honeywell from 1973.

Replacement for original Honeywell from 1973! Not as tough looking but works fine and looks fine. Installed in 15 mins. but no earth connection terminal so has to rely on tank being earthed.
