It's a ride, to be sure

I found his other tomes, slightly meandering and too punctuated with irrelevant, almost sycophantic historical facts, or slings & arrows of self one-upmanship. God Is Not Great, is not a great book. (yes, I'm an atheist). But, this is personal, revealing, and meanders nicely. I'll stick to Xenophon, Plutarch, Thucydides, Plato, to be honest. I find most modern writing purely self indulgent, at least these older writers were trying to convey something applicable to everyone. Read full review
