He-man still has the Power
I grew up with the Filmation He-man cartoon series. It was good at the time for a kid but this series is very well done. The stories are more complex and engaging. The animation quality is top notch compared to the Filmation series. This series also upholds and expands the MOTU 40 year old mythology. Some episodes are written by the original series writers. By the way, you won't believe who is He-man's uncle. Get this set, it's highly entertaining.Read full review

I am a fan of these types of shows and I can honestly say that while the 1980's He-Man cartoon was kind of cheesy,this show does more in depth coverage of each characters back stories and tells a cohesive and we'll developed story overall.
I would recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of the original 1980's show.
