Hayward Power Vac Swimming Pool Vacuum Head - SP1067

Works as expected, but hingled joint is a little stiff

This was an exact replacement of an old one I had. The old brush was worn out and it was easier to replace the whole thing than just the brush. It sometimes "sticks" to the bottom due to suction, despite the brush having openings to relieve the pressure. Also, it needs to be tilted to allow the leaves and debris to enter and be sucked in. The hinged joint that attaches to the pole does not flex freely like my old one. The nut has to be tightened sufficiently to prevent it from falling off, and when doing so it puts pressure on the plastic joint. It would be better if it had a lock nut with a plastic insert. Light

This is very light had to push to bottom of pool. It sets to close to the pool surface and the suction grabbed hold and would not let go. I was told my pool unit had to much suction and I should open main drain. This did not work. I paid 39 dollars for this. Because my pool system is all Hayward I thought this would be better made. What did work is a 9 dollar better made pool head from another company.Read full review

Really like the See-thru feature!

The See-thru feature allows you to see what's actually getting sucked up into the hose. The round vac covers more area than the triangle type. However, this vacuum sucks so well that it sucks itself to the pool liner and I can barely move it. I have to hold it on a tilt instead of flat, which is very tiring. I need to know how to remedy this, because I feel this is a good product.Read full review

Good Vacuum Head

I really like this pool Vac. head. I say it's the Dyson of pool cleaning. It does tend to grab the bottom of the pool, so you should keep it moving. It is a work out.
