I'm not sure why it's called a Varta A14 battery, as it's actually a Hankook brand battery. It is the right size for my Honda Jazz and so far, it seems fine. It's got a 4 year guarantee. This battery advertised as direct replacement for 2009 Kia Picanto, but it isn't ! The battery case is missing the two lower securing rails, so I have had to revert to using an adjustable securing strap to locate it safely.
That said, I am happy to keep it, but suggest the Ebay advert is suitably amended to point out this omission to other buyers.Read full review

Great battery, check fitment

Bought this battery thinking all types of the same sort would fit. The 054 I bought has a smooth case but the fitment in the Hyundai i10 has a base clamp requiring a skirt at the base of the battery case. The Hankook battery also comes as a 054 with a skirt for the clamp, all other dims identical to this battery. Don’t make my mistake, check the fixing, this works with a clamp over the top but not at the base.Read full review
