Hammered "Hammerite" paint applied to a storage heater
I've painted a rusty night storage heater with this paint & it looks GREAT.
Because I chose the "hammered" type it was not easy to cover the area giving an even "hammered" finish But even so I am delighted with the finish.Of course initially as with any paint applied to a heater there was an initial odour but after a few days that disipated..Read full review

Usual quality product from Hammerite
More of a smooth finish than hammered and took 3 coats to get a satisfactory covering. Hammerite prone to sagging so better to be patient and apply multiple thin layers. Gold is nice and bright ... someone described it as antique gold when dry which is accurate. Used it on a garden bistro set and very happy with the result.Read full review

Excellent, but keep it stirred
I bought this Hammerite in gold finish to restore a steel framed garden mirror that had rusted barley.
After a bit of wire brushing to remove loose rust and a repair to a holed part of the frame, I gave it two coats of the paint. The result was excellent.
Please remember that because the gold is in suspension in the paint, it needs to be stirred every few minutes in use.Read full review

A very classy finish
It has a rich old gold colour, thick and easy to apply with a smooth and lustrous sparkling finish. Only one coat needed to make my garden gates look very classy when combined with Hammerite black.

Use the best, don't bother to try the rest
Hammerite hammered is in my opinion the best to use, covers in one coat, direct onto rusty railings, just wire brush off any flaking old paint or rust.
Used black on the main rails and gold on the top spikes and motifs
a tired looking old fence now looks brilliant, like new !!Read full review
