We purchased our Breakfast Egg Sandwich maker after hearing some friends of ours talking about how great it was.
Great does not do it justice. This thing is an exceptional time saver, quick and easy. Started out with Egg and Cheese. Then the Sunday evening following I did a couple packages of bacon and put it in the fridge. Whala Monday morning Bacon, Egg n Cheese.

I wasn't sure at first how the egg would hold up putting the muffin directly on top of it. Not problem somehow, someway it keeps the muffin crisp and cooks the egg through. Simple drop the muffin in the bottom, meat, cheese then drop the egg cover and drop in the egg, top it with muffin. Walk away and 3-4.5 minutes depending how you like your egg the timer goes off and out the door we go. Saves a ton of time from prepping over a stove, toaster or a griddle. Very little mess. Simple unplug and any remnant cheese or egg just slides off the non-stick surface. Rinse and let dry.

The only negative I have is there is no on off switch, you plug it in to turn on and unplug to turn off. I may have an internal timer if it is left sitting, I don't know. I would buy another, without a doubt.Read full review

Does what it says, but frying pan cleans much quicker

The sandwich maker does exactly what it says. It makes perfectly round sandwiches and cooks them evenly. This is not done in 5 minutes as claimed though. Sure the cooking time is 5 minutes, but add 3 minutes for warmup (instantly for gas stove and aluminum fry pan). Then the cleanup time is about 10mins. A non-stick frying pan takes 10 seconds to wipe and rinse. The cooking plates, rings, and top and bottom heating plates make 8 pieces to clean. There is so much geometry that it's very difficult to get all surfaces. And forget about cleaning it before heading to work in the morning. It takes at approx 15 minutes to cool down enough to touch it. It heats up the whole kitchen. The unit operates perfectly, but the total time spent with it is much greater than a simple fry pan and spatula. If you are making many sandwiches at one time then the setup and cleaning time might become negligible. Read full review

This is a little marvel that does exactly what it says it does..delicious breakfast treats at home!

I bought this for my husband as one of his Bday presents...so he would have an alternative from peanut butter and butter on muffins or cereal. I admit I don't get up to cook him breakfast, even though we are retired. He LOVES it.
