Nice tent, shame about quality control

Bought for teenagers holiday camping trips and sleep overs. On first putting up the tent, it was apparent that one of the hooks for the inner tent was missing and torn from the front edge of the ground sheet. Unfortunately as this was purchased just before the camping trip, there is not sufficient time to remedy the problem, a decent quality check from the manufacturer would have prevented this being sent out for sale. Nice tent, some waterproof issues.

Me and my 10 year old daughter put this tent up, it took us about 30 mins. The rods were easy to thread through and the inner compartment easy to attach with the toggles. The difficult part was stretching the outer canvas to get each end into the metal peg. The canvas doesn't quite seem long enough.
After using the tent for the night, it had rained and there was water inside the sleeping compartment. I'm sure this is because the canvas needs to be lower to the ground, it sits about 5 inches away from the ground leaving the inner compartment slightly exposed.
On the second nights sleep we used some tarpaulin around the one side at the back of the tent and this seemed to help, although there was much less rain on the second night.
Overall a nice tent, fairly good value. Maybe we'll solve the problem on are second attempt of assembling.Read full review

Tent Leaked

I recently bought this tent for a 4 day camping weekend. We were struck with bad weather two of the days in where the tent flooded a considerable amount on the left side. We checked that the vents were shut, the sides were pegged down properly and for any holes- all seemed secure but we continued to come back to a stream of water on both days. Having to move all of our stuff to a friends tent, we annoyingly had to pick up the ground sheet and guide the water out twice. Definitely a lightweight tent but not very strong, one seam started to tear the 1st time I put it up.
At this price it should probably be regarded as single use only for festivals etc and throw it away afterwards.Read full review

Absolutely appalling

Halfords is a multi million pound company but yet they sold me a non waterproof tent with a broken zip me and my 2 children were soaked and bugs could get in at night they were terrified, and they are not refunding me I have waited in the last 2 weeks for collection of the tent but yet no one arrived, I will take this case as far as it needs to go all over £35, they are being extremely evasive and not helpful in the slightest, worst company ever!!Read full review

Not greatly impressed.

Light and waterproof but very delicate. The seams started to pull apart after only a couple of hours. Design is quite drafty too. It's fine in warm weather but even light breeze and rain will get in. Also very difficult to erect alone in just a light breeze! Not even useable a second time :(Read full review
