Good for distance shots, NO good for close ups
The camera has many settings but not capable of zooming in on a piece of jewelry, which is what I needed. It just wasn't designed for closeups. Great for a large canvas, a person, or landscape.

This camera is OK for just a few pictures around the house but a better camera is needed/
This camera works Ok but will not format a card, even a new one, sp to take more than 4 pictures the quality has to be set lower

HP 425 Camera
Great Camera for one handed shots, to open for quick action, or for Macro close ups, in real tight out of sight spots , as in heavy equipment parts. Fits in your shirt pocket for being handy to carry. 5 Mega pixel is adequate for my needs. Otherwise files get too large for email to others. Only drawback is on/off switch just breaks after so much use , as in years. This is my 4th camera, same problem, plastic on/off switch breaks after heavy use. No warning , irreplaceable, so I just buy another. Of course don't drop as I did with lens open, broke it for sure. With timer even takes selfies at a distance. Just prop on something flat. I like it much better than the smartphone, that requires 2 handed use.Read full review
