Good performance used printer
The HP 2180 combined printer/scanner/copier (but not Fax) is no longer "supported" by HP. However drivers and manuals are available from the web if you buy a printer with no installation disc. There are two driver programmes, one for Win XP/Vista/7 and one for the rest. I have only used 32 bit machines and am unsure whether software works with 64 bits.
Used 2180 are available from £5 to £20 (!) sometimes for personal collection only.
As with all cheap printers, the OM inks are expensive. However a pair of compatible inks can be found for around £10.
The 2180 appears relatively robust and print quality is excellent for both documents and, using special paper, for photographs (but photos can of course be printed onto normal A4 paper).
A cheap old printer which continues to do everything for which it was designed.Read full review

A good all-round printer, copier etc.
This printer was acquired "like for like" to replace my previous printer which had decided to stop working (through old age I think). Although this particular model was long since discontinued it is one of very few, if any, that are available second hand that are compatible with my aged computer with Windows XP. So far I am very happy with this machine as an all-round printer which does all I require from it. Read full review
