Greenslade - Live 2001 -- The Full Edition (Live Recording, 2004)

Surprisingly good

"Amazing" might be a little over the top but I have genuinely found this CD to be excellent. I have wondered about buying Greenslade albums in the past but the tracks I had heard were not consistently good. I have a recording of Time and Tide and I only like a couple of the tracks.
This live album has a good mixture of tracks from many of their albums as well as the then new album "Late Afternoon".
The only let-down for me is that the version of the brilliant Catalan from 1975 does not have the blistering keyboard solo in the middle. Instead, there is a mid-tempo section but even that appeals in a different way.
Overall, I think this is a great way of getting a "best of" by them.Read full review
