Flimsy and probably not fit for purpose.
Although it was not advertised with the clamps, the online instructions did seem to stress the need for them. Hey ho, no matter, I persevered with assembling the stand but felt that it was a little flimsy.
Once my laptop was added it didn't seem safe. I'm sure with a much lighter or smaller laptop or a tablet and no need for it to be held safely then its fine. Sorry, not for me.

Basic but good stand
The stand is probably the most basic stand on the market, that's why I own two of them the are strong durable and simple you really can't go wrong with them.
If you want high tech foldable brand name stands these really ain't for you but if it's just a basic affordable laptop stands you're looking for then I would highly recommend these ones.Read full review

Reliable and sturdy
The product is very sturdy, I am positively surprised by how solid it is. This means it's heavy, but for me it's a good thing. Assembly required, but it's not at all difficult when looking at the product pictures. There is a degree of adjustability with respect to the height, but not the angle, but that also shouldn't be a problem since laptop screens can be tilted.
