I ordered the Google Home Mini on a whim and also because of a promotional deal they had on ebay that ended up making it free( that is of you spent $120 or more). Setup was a breeze and very easy to do. I got the Chalk colored one because I thought it looked the best out of all that was available. I plan on buying some more in the near future.Read full review

Google Home Mini - Cool, but can do without.

Pretty limited in its ability to do things. But for the price i paid on ebay vs the price in stores, it was worth a try. I like its basic functions such as asking the weather and playing music. I really like that I can call someone from it now, so that really convenient when cleaning around the house, or working in the garage. I wish there was a way you could answer an incoming call, but i haven't found that yet. Its works with my nest thermostat so i can tell it to set the heat to up or down, but the first time it fails or dose not answer i just do it by hand anyway. All in all, its a cool gadget, not really a toy, but definitely not a necessity to enhance your daily life.Read full review

I like it alot!

I like the Home mini enough that after receiving the first one as a gift I bought a second one through eBay just so I don't need to move it from one room to another. It's a little frustrating that I can ask for the same thing, in the exact same words, two different times and get completely different answers. Also, I've been trying to figure out how to purchase Google Play and for some reason just can't figure it out. If you want a specific song, you need Google Play. Small challenges but those are the only reasons for only 4 stars. Wish I could do 4 3/4 stars. :)Read full review

After reading about the Google Home Mini Speaker , and talking to my brother, who has the Google Home , and experiencing Alexa at the home where I live , I decided to purchase the Mini . It is a great little speaker , but I have encountered one glitch that I can’t work out . The software will not communicate with the wifi through my iPhone 6Splus , even though it has the most up to date software from Apple. One of the ladies that works here came to my apartment and connected it through her android pad . This means I can’t access my Apple music or playlists . Very inconvenient.Read full review

My kids gave us our original Google Speaker....the tower one. We decided we wanted another and I started our going to buy the original one we had. This is by far the best purchase I’ve ever made! I highly recommend this Google home mini smart speaker with google assistant! I went through so many Bluetooth speaker’s and decided to try this!! WELL worth the money and then some!! It does EVERYTHING your google app does and more! All you have to do is say hey google and it does whatever you ask! Play music, get directions, hooks to WiFi and Bluetooth! Super cheap for the value and I’ll be buying another one for my bathroom! Or just tell it to turn up the volume and it’s loud. Could do better without the ocassional glitch

It’s all in the programming of your smart home. I prefer YouTube music vs apple so I can watch videos through my chrome cast. I’ve got 5 smart lights set up 2 smart TVs 3 google homes and one google hub. I personally like pairing them together to make surround sound but sometimes it’s annoying when sound starts on one then answers you on another one.
Pretty much you can program these things to do anything almost. From laundry to lights to coffee and warmers and strip lights. The possibilities are endless.Read full review

Not for the paranoid...

It's okay for a spy I suppose but I don't really have much use for it. I bought a smart bulb but my phone is Android 4.4.2 from 2015 and you need at least Android 5 to connect the bulb and mini. "Hey google" has to be spoken every time. I've got a smart TV but it won't do anything with it either. I think it takes 3 programs to have it open or close computer programs. IfTTT, Push-something and PushBullet. Time to upgrade everything so I can tell the mini to turn the light on,...and record everything I say. Meh :/Read full review
